OUR STORY

Where does one begin to tell a story that has taken a lifetime to create?! Perhaps we keep it simple, skip the early years and go straight to adulthood. I cannot remember a time when I didn’t love treasures from the past.  When I see old, forgotten items, I see something that still has a story to tell and an energy that begs you to give them another chance to be loved.  After years of collecting some really cool pieces of history, my home started getting a wee bit overcrowded. I created my first booth to keep things out of my husband's garage (it's still full by the way) and named it Waterlemon Whatnots.  My life as a vintage vendor in West Michigan had begun.  One of the many booths along the way was at Eastown Antiques and it was there that I met the women who would help me create Elevated Antiquities. We opened those doors mid 2018 at 1111 Godfrey. After an unexpected change in my “real gig” circumstances, I found myself with more time on my hands. The opportunity to go a little bigger and invest myself completely in the vintage world was standing in front of me and it was now or never. With the support of my family & friends, I decided to jump in with both feet.

Giving back and taking care of others is something that is very important to me.  The dream was to create not only a place to sell great vintage but to create a community hub for like minded individuals.  Elevated Grand Rapids would be that place and I just needed to find the building. I did a LOT of looking, and this little brick building on Clyde Park (circa 1929) captured my attention. It wasn’t beautiful by any means; run down and tired might be an understatement, but I could feel that energy pulling me in. At the end of May 2019, I signed the papers and the keys were mine.  After an intense 3 month renovation, we opened our doors for the first time in September of 2019.  March 2020 brought us COVID and sadly, we had to close those doors.  However, fortune was with us and we got back to business in June of 2020.

For six years, Clyde Park was an incredible home.  We celebrated lots of highs, cried through some lows and made SO many great memories.

With change hot on our heels, we moved our growing business into 25,000 square feet of warehouse (circa 1900) just down the road from Grand Rapids' newest attraction, Acrisure Amphitheater.

In June 2025, we returned to our roots and the elevation that gave us our name, the second floor.  A grand new staircase, dressed in pink, takes you directly into The Elevated Market.  This new space includes 100+ Vendors and Artisans.  Vintage home decor, furniture, a large vintage clothing boutique along with a bookroom round out this one-of-a-kind shopping experience.  Don't worry, if you and yours can't navigate the stairs, an elevator, complete with operator, takes you directly into the heart of the action.

We really had no idea that less than 1 year later we'd be working on our next expansion.  The old Keeler Brass building is a bit of a bohemoth and within the confines of the 955 Godfrey address we found what has turned into a really cool space just a little south of our much loved Market space.

The Glasshouse is our latest endeavor which allowed us to add approximately 50 vendors and something brand new for not only the Elevated brand but also for the city of Grand Rapids.  The Flea Market at The Glasshouse will be open every Saturday & Sunday 12 months of the year.  If an affordable, indoor venue is intriguing check us out. It's as easy as clicking on the link, choosing your space (10x10), picking your date(s) and showing up.  A flea market the way a flea market is intended, a little wild, super colorful and completely different each and every weekend.

A Free & easily accessible, large parking lot along with indoor loading and unloading makes being a customer or vendor an enjoyable experience.  Per usual, we require ZERO work hours from our vendors and we're open 7 Days A Week.

Something you may not know about Elevated is that once a month, during the winter we host a free trivia night for our vendors and their guests.

Matt from Here's Your Host creates a custom, professional event and everyone is invited.

Whether you're a customer, vendor or both, we hope that you'll find your "Happy Place" at The Elevated Market & Glasshouse.

If you're a vintage collector like myself, a small business looking for a first or perhaps secondary location, a creator or an artist that needs a place to call home, check out our application for more info.

I cannot wait to show you what we've created on the southwest side of Grand Rapids!!!
